FOUNDATION’s" mission is to empower exceptional student-athletes from underserved communities by leveraging the potential of sports to realize their college dreams.

YSF’s Programs advise student-athletes on how to showcase their athletic and academic abilities to college coaches and admissions personnel. By introducing them to the important linkage of sports and academics before they begin the college admissions process, they will be more likely to maximize their potential.

We intend to ensure that the student athletes who are otherwise unable to access academic tutoring due to costs and conflicts are provided with high quality personalized math and English supplementation that allows them to confidently sign up for advanced and honors courses which then ensures them as prime applicants for college applications.

"PRESTIGE PREP" 
is thrilled to have partnered with the "YOURS IN SOCCER FOUNDATION" (YSF) to pilot a one-of-a-kind program aimed at securing the scholar in Scholar-Athlete. Our program will seek to ensure that all age appropriate TFA scholar athletes are ready to perform on cue in their academic lives, as well as find ways of applying scholarship to their daily life. Our approach will be multi-faceted, but, importantly, minimize screen time in an effort to engage students in groups and active participation. We are thrilled to see our students begin to grapple with concepts such as parts of speech, as we challenged them to elevate their verbal acumen. Strengthening such skill unlocks the doors to advanced English studies and an ability to engage with their schoolwork or other literature at deeper levels than they might otherwise. Our efforts include mathematics, but in ways that make grade level concepts such as percentages or probability seem pertinent—such as through exercises and activities that tackle finance, taxes, and other math applications relevant to their daily lives. All this will be in the context of a warm and welcoming shared environment where teamwork and constructive criticism will be nurtured.
